  • Cigar shaped
  • Four pairs of stumpy legs on the anterior end
  • Long and narrow to fit into hair follicles


Life cycle

  • Live as commensal organisms
  • Live in hair follicles and in sebaceous glands
  • Life cycle takes 3 weeks
