Canine cyclic thrombocytopenia

  • Caused by Ehrlichia platys - now renamed as Anaplasma platys
  • Affects platelets
  • Recurrent thrombocytopenia, but dogs usually asymptomatic
  • Seroconversion detected by indirect immunofluorescence
