Tracheal Oedema

• In feedlot cattle
• Known as "honker syndrome"
• Most commonly during summer
• Dyspnoea progressing to oral breathing
• Tracheal mucosa is thickened and gelatinous
• Severe oedema and haemorrhages in mucosa and submucosa
