Iris Cysts

These appear as spherical pigmented bodies around the pupil edge. They are of no significance unless large or within the pupil, or may interfere with vision.

Iris Tumours

These are rare.

Hyphema

Trauma is the usual cause of blood in the anterior chamber and it will be reabsorbed if there is no ongoing haemorrhage and the animal is kept quiet. NSAIDs should be avoided. If anterior uveitis is suspected then topical steroids can be used.
