  • Can occur due to cystitis, trauma (urolithiasis) and cyclophosphamide induced sterile haemorrhagic cystitis.
  • Septicaemias and viraemias can lead to petechiae in the bladder. Examples include classical swine fever, salmonellosis and equine purpura haemorrhagica.
