  • Very rare, sometimes in dogs, reported in cats and horses
  • May arise from almost any tissue
  • Large ones may cause obstruction and hence respiratory difficulty and dysphagia
  • Most recur after excision
  • Squamous cell carcinoma is most common
  • Also papillomas, chondromas and carcinomas
