What is WikiVet?
WikiVet is a collaborative initiative between the UK Vetschools to develop a comprehensive on-line veterinary knowledge database authenticated by expert reviewers. The aim is to cover the entire undergraduate curriculum. WikiVet requires registration, which is FREE, to ensure that is used by people related to the veterinary profession only.
What can I get from WikiVet?
Apart from factual information focusing on the key points within a topic, WikiVet contains a selection of eLearning resources like flashcards, videos, quizzes and other types of media including a very good Interactive Canine Radiographs resource.
Who uses WikiVet?
The site is mainly used by veterinary students in the UK, Europe and everywhere else around the world. It is becoming increasingly popular with students in the USA too. It is also accessed by veterinarians, lecturers and other professions related to the veterinary field.
How do I use WikiVet?
The content is easily searchable via the dedicated search engine. You can also navigate via species, disciplines or body systems. Another useful facility is the ability to return to the supporting text from within the flashcard and quiz pages.
What next?
The project is not and will never be finished. This means that there will always be new developments, updates and information added. So why not register with the site and have a look for yourself today?
You can sign up to receive a monthly newsletter to stay up to date with new features as they are being added.
