About Us
The University of Murcia is situated in a predominantly agricultural and livestock region and this has been a factor which strongly influenced the implementation of the veterinary course in 1982-83, where the faculty was first based in basic facilities at the Espinardo campus. Later the department moved to the faculty of medicine and then to the current building in 1990. The inauguration of the hospital, farm and pilot floor of the food science and technology department was an important step. In 1996-97 the studies in food science and technology were launched.
