- Caused by Sporothrix schenckii
- Cutaneous, may involve lymhatic vessels or disseminate
- Occurs in horses, cattle, cats and dogs
- Grossly:
- Ulcerated cutaneous nodules
- Fistulas may form
- Microscopically:
- Hard to find ovoid to elongated organisms
- More numerous in cats
- Exudate may be infectious to humans if comes into contact with wounds
