    • Run longitudinally through the bone
    • Carry anastamosing and branching blood vessels, connecting with bone marrow cavity and periosteum
    • Surrounded bu concentric bony lamellae
      • Rows of interconnected lacunae within, contain osteocytes (communicate by channels in young bones)
  • Haversion canals + lamellae + osteocytes = Haversion system
