*Glomerulitis is inflammation affecting the glomerulus alone.
*Bacteria and viruses can be causative agents. Bacterial localisation can lead to necrosis, neutrophil influx and sometimes haemorrhage. Viral infections cause endothelial damage and are often mild and transient.
