Bara qualified as a veterinarian from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) after having worked as a veterinary nurse previously. During her university years, she also completed Animal Behaviour and Welfare BSc at the University of Bristol. Her interests and studies include information technology so being involved with WikiVet was an ideal way of combining the two worlds. Having started as an author for WikiVet at its inception, her role has evolved into overseeing the content and managing projects (e.g Feline Behaviour, Small Animal Dentistry, Nutrients, Pet Food, OVAM, OVAL). However, due to a major change in lifestyle, Bara is currently not involved with WikiVet.

My passion are animals of all kind, especially my numerous pets, including horses. I like them to be my friends and partners, rather than just tools for fun. I have a soft spot for birds and often look after wildlife casualties. I particularly enjoy spending time in the countryside, playing guitar, fencing and ride a motorbike.

About me

I qualified as a veterinarian from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in 2009. During my studies I also intercalated a year at University of Bristol studying Animal Behaviour and Welfare. My original involvement with WikiVet was as one of the very first authors whilst studying at the RVC. During that time I worked on various sections including pathology of the pancreas, peritoneal cavity, respiratory, musculoskeletal and integumentary systems. These sections are beginning to look totally different to those early days. I later uploaded and organised the WikiDonkey section.

After graduation I became involved with the project more and am currently the chief content editor. My main mission is to organise the site and give it some kind of logical structure. I also supervise authors and review the content they write before it is passed on to the expert reviewers.

Apart from WikiVet work, I also put together an Equine Endoscopy Video eLearning resource, which is soon to be available via WikiVet.
