The Veterinary College, Bangalore was established on 25th July, 1958, by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri. B.D. Jatti.Earlier it was part of Mysore University and University of Agriculture Science Bangalore after the establishment of Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU), the college has become the part of the KVAFSU.Presently,it has about 19 different departments all of which offer Undergraduate course and some departments offer Post Graduation and Doctoral Programme also. The college has well equipped hospital and farm which apart from acting as tool for study also serve in providing extension activity of farmers.
