[http://www.rossu.edu/veterinary-school/ Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM)] offers a unique AVMA-accredited veterinary program in St Kitts located in the Leeward Islands.  The island provides an opportunity for study in an environment that is rich in natural beauty, and exotic marine and wildlife.  Since our founding in 1982, RUSVM has graduated more than 3,000 veterinarians. RUSVM maintains a technologically advanced campus where you will find yourself challenged by a broad-based curriculum that provides the foundation for an excellent education and entry into a variety of career pathways in veterinary medicine. Students receive seven semesters of integrated preclinical and clinical studies at the St Kitts campus, and one year of clinical training at the School’s affiliate veterinary hospitals in the United States.

RUSVM offers a [http://www.rossu.edu/veterinary-school/academics/index.cfm academic program] which combines the innovative use of technologies and simulations to provide the best possible opportunity for tomorrow’s veterinarians to pursue the many and varied careers available to them.  Students receive seven semesters of integrated [http://www.rossu.edu/veterinary-school/academics/curriculumdescriptions.cfm preclinical and clinical studies] at the St Kitts campus, and one year of clinical training at the School’s affiliate veterinary hospitals in the United States.  RUSVM is currently exploring additional training opportunities for sites in Canada and Europe. The degree Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) is awarded upon the successful completion of the Pre-Clinical Curriculum and the Clinical Training Curriculum.

RUSVM is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Council on Education and the St. Christopher & Nevis Accreditation Board. Graduates are eligible to practice veterinary medicine in all United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico and as graduates of an AVMA accredited foreign school are not required to take foreign licensure examinations.  UK students graduating from an AVMA COE accredited school of veterinary medicine may apply directly to Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) for licensure to practice in the UK by supplying appropriate documentation as outlined on the [http://www.rcvs.org.uk/registration/how-to-register/ RCVS web site].
