In April Nick Short and Zoe Belshaw gave a brief presentation to the [http://www.bva.co.uk/overseas/BVA_Overseas_Group.aspx British Veterinary Association - Overseas Group] about WikiVet. The group discussed the potential to use the wiki to support veterinary education in the developing world and as a possible replacement for traditional textbook distribution schemes in the future.

There have already been quite a few additional new members joining as a result and comments such as "I AM SO DELIGHTED ABOUT THIS. IT IS AS IF IT WAS DESIGNED TO SOLVE OUR PECULIAR PROBELMS IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD. THANKS A MILLION FOR THIS WORTHY INITIATIVE." from Dr Nasir Olatunji in Nigeria.
