*Small, non-enveloped, icosahedral DNA virus with featureless virions

=Virulence and Pathogenesis=
*Resistant to pH (even gastric acidity), heat, and desiccation
*Infect rapidly dividing cells
*Target bone marrow, intestinal epithelium, and growing fetus (via viremia)
