Affects the horse.
Sudden onset with haemorrhages throughout body (shock) and sometimes acute foul smelling diarhoea.
colon is acutely haemorhagic and oedematous with mucosal necrosis.
Associated with Clostridium perfringens.
Possibly an enterotoxaemia.
