Describing your uploads

Please sort your files after upload and give detailed information. Please fill in the variables in the summary form:

  • Description of the content; also use a descriptive and concise filename without special characters.
  • Source like a web link or give a statement like "own work".
  • Date of creation or publication if the former is unknown.
  • Author(s) of the file.
  • Permission - quote of the author's permission. Also select the appropriate license in the dropdown box or add one below the summary.
  • optionally: other_versions given via a wikilink; can be left out.

  • Use a descriptive filename. Do not use default filenames, like IMAGE1234.jpg.
  • Write a good description of the contents of the file. Search engines search text, not image pixels!
  • Add categories to the image.
  • Consider adding location data to your image.
To view or search previously uploaded files go to the list of uploaded files, (re)uploads are also logged in the upload log, deletions in the deletion log
Other tips:
  • Upload the highest resolution file you have, and don't watermark your work.
  • Use good judgment and only upload appropriate images that add to the educational value of WikiVet
