The International Veterinary Student Association at the RVC is a part of the IVSA UK & Ireland Chapter. There are senior and junior representatives in place to represent the IVSA at the vet schools throughout the UK & Ireland.
About Us
The IVSA was founded in 1951 and is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2011.
The mission of IVSA is to to benefit the animals and people of the world by harnessing the potential and dedication of veterinary students to promote the international application of veterinary skills, education and knowledge. The way in which this is achieved is by arranging annual meetings (congresses and symposia), running permanent projects, facilitating exchanges between veterinary schools and publishing a quarterly newsletter.[1]
The IVSA at the RVC was only recently resurrected, in 2009 we had only one active member, but has been going from strength to strength since then and there is now a small, dedicated group of active IVSA members.
