After qualifying from the RVC in 1989, Kim worked at the University of Bristol alongside a veterinary locum job in Portishead. In 2001 he helped to establish the Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies [http://www.caret.cam.ac.uk (CARET)] at the University of Cambridge and in 2006 joined the [http://www.live.ac.uk LIVE Centre] at the RVC.
