Overview
The information below is based on that avaliable at "The National Fancy Rat Society", which provides descriptions of fancy breeds of rat bred selectively for the purposes of showing. As with other Small Rodents, the examples displayed below are not strictly breed types but rather, a description of colours and markings commonly found.
For further information please see; http://www.nfrs.org
Self
- The colours below are the most commonly found in Fancy mice. Body colour should be evenly distributed across the whole body. Ears, tail and belly should also be the same as the main body colour.
Marked Varieties
- Marked varieties are usually found in the standard self colours with non-body colour markings.
