Infectious agents
- Inflammation of the trachea - tracheitis
- Tracheitis can occur as part of an extension of an upper or lower viral or bacterial respiratory infection
- May cause
- Obstruction to airflow
- Aspiration pneumonia
- Acute inflammation passes through the same stages as rhinitis
Chronic polypoid tracheitis
- In dogs and cats
- Secondary to chronic inflammation
