Peritoneal
- Lipomas - horses
- Arise from mesentery (particularly in horses), omentum (in dogs)
- Can become large and pedunculated (horses)
- May lead to strangulation of intestine
- On cut surface may become friable and necrotic with only the superficial surface remaining viable
