Signalment

  • Border Collie
  • 10 years old

History

  • No previous skin complaint
  • Gradually worsening intense pruritus of the face, elbows and pinnae
  • On presentation
    • The right pinna was alopecic with skin thickening and crusting
    • Bilateral, periorbital alopecia
    • Patches of alopecia and erythema laterally on both forelimbs, near the elbow
