WikiVet is holding it's first photo competition during April. The first theme is Where's WikiVet?.

What's it all about?

We want to see WikiVet being used all over the world, so we want our users to take photo's including this logo in as many different locations around the globe as possible.

What do I have to do?

An example of the 'Where's WikiVet' logo, taken in East Sussex, United Kingdom. Hopefully you'll have more exciting backgrounds!

During April 2012, WikiVet members are invited to email in photos they have taken. These pictures must include the 'Where's WikiVet?' logo featured on this page - we'd suggest printing the 'Where's WikiVet' PDF which features the logo, although you could include it on a mobile device or laptop if you're feeling particularly cunning! You should then go somewhere exciting (and hopefully recognizable) and take a picture of the logo in that location - perhaps you could take it to the Pyramids, to the Eiffel Tower, to see Big Ben in London, wherever you are really!

Rules

  1. For an image to be accepted into the competition, it must feature the 'Where's WikiVet' logo.
  2. You have to have taken the picture with the logo in - you can't edit it in later! That's just cheating.
  3. By sending the picture in to us, you agree that it may be used for WikiVet promotional activity and may be published on the WikiVet and/or WikiVet on Facebook site.
  4. Please give details of who you are, where the picture was taken and what can be seen in the image. We'll then try to put all of these pictures on a map!

When do I have to do it?

The deadline for images that will be accepted is midnight(ish), on Monday 30th April 2012.

On Tuesday 1st May the WikiVet team will post all of the accepted images into an album on our Facebook page. You can vote on your favourite image by 'liking' it in the album. The photo with the most likes' by Friday 11th May will have won - first prize is a £50 Amazon voucher.

Future competitions

We're hoping to run some more competition themes in the future, so please help us make this one a success!
