Three [[Trichostrongyloidea|trichostrongylus]] species may be found in the stomach or small intestine, and [[Oxyuroidea|pinworms (oxyurids)]] may occur in large numbers in the large intestine of young rabbits. These are usually of little clinical significance.

The importance of those parasites differs with the type of production of this animal. In intensive production, it has low importance, due to it's controled environment and food, and controled contact with other animals. On the other hand, in wildlife rabbits, this may be an issue, and can have importance as it may infect other animal species.
