Fc receptors on the basophil surface binds with IgE formed during allergic reactions and causes them to degranulate. The vasoactive substances released from the granules causes vasodialtion allowing for the infiltration of other leukocytes i.e. [[Neutrophils#Movement|neutrophil diapedesis]].
