This universe is equivalent to 94 undergraduate courses (90 classroom-four distance), 76 graduate programs stricto sensu , 45 masters and 31 doctoral degrees, 161 postgraduate courses lato sensu, 115 coursework and five professional masters , scattered Niterói and 13 municipalities of the State of Rio de Janeiro. The university also has an experimental core Iguaba Grande and a school farm in Cachoeiras de Macacu. There are 32 teaching units, four poles inside, 27-pole distance learning (ODL) and an advanced unit in Oriximiná, State of Pará
