Antiobiotics are a very diverse group of drugs designed to attack [[Bacteria|microbial]] infections. Here we will discuss each of the main groups of antiobiotics and for each group how they work, their spectrum of activity, pharmacokinetic considerations and common side effects. We will also discuss antibacterial resistance, how this has come about and what it means for the veterinary profession.
