The WikiVet team has made a number of useful contacts with other veterinary organisations recently.
In April Nick Short and Zoe Belshaw gave a brief presentation to the [http://www.bva.co.uk/overseas/BVA_Overseas_Group.aspx British Veterinary Association - Overseas Group] about WikiVet. The group discussed the potential to use the wiki to support veterinary education in the developing world and as a possible replacement for traditional textbook distribution schemes in the future.
The Association of Veterinary Students have been really supportive from the outset and the latest edition of their newsletter carried an article on how students could get involved [[JAVS Article 2009|More details ....]]

Has forwarded details of WikiVet to all the CVA Regional Representatives around the Commonwealth. There have already been quite a few additional new members joining as a result and comments such as "I AM SO DELIGHTED ABOUT THIS.IT IS AS IF IT WAS DESIGNED TO SOLVE OUR PECULIAR PROBELMS IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD.THANKS A MILLION FOR THIS WORHTY INITIATIVE." from Dr Nasir Olatunji in Nigeria.
