Hyperthermia is diagnosed through the animal's history and a physical examination. Clinical signs usually include tachypnoea and dyspnoea. Treatment is to slowly cool the animal with tepid (not cold) soaked towels loosely wrapped aroud the body. Also carry out [[Lizard Supportive Care|supportive care].
