- Possibly immune-mediated
- Mainly affects dogs
- Long haired show multifocal, serpiginous and annular lesions
- Microscopically:
- Inflammation of sebaceous glands
- Possibly orthokeratotic hyperkeratosis
- Chronic lesions are deprived of sebaceous glands and contain mild inflammation and fibrosis at follicular isthmus
