Central Nervous System - Response to Injury

The Central Nervous System (CNS) is composed of two major cell types:

Neurons
Glial cells, which include:
Astrocytes
Oligodendrocytes
Microglial cells
Ependymal cells
Choroid plexus epithelial cells
The response to injury varies with the cell type injured.
