  • Ectopic ureter is the most common ureteral anomaly.
    • Most common in females.
    • Opens into the bladder neck, urethra or vagina.
    • Leads to increased susceptibility to obstruction and infection.
  • Agenesis/aplasia - Rare. Often associated with failure in kidney development.
