Male

sexual maturity rats- 6-8 wks mice- 6-7 wks oestrus cycle 4-5 d, mice have post partum oestrus duration of oestrus- 14h gestation rats- 20-22d, mice 19-21d, delayed if lactating.

Female

  • Non-seasonal polyoestrus
  • Ejaculate plug forms in the vagina.
