General Structure
- Mammary glands consolidated in a small udder in the inguinal region.
- Mammary groove separates right and left halves.
- Each half has the form of a laterally compressed cone and carries a single teat.
- Each half comprises a single mammary complex.
- Two duct systems open on the tip of the teat separately.
Appearance
- Skin over the udder:
- Thin
- Deeply pigmented
- Sparse hair
- Teats are short, resemble a bilaterally compressed cylinder.
