Clinical training will take place in one of a number of AVMA-accredited institutions, both in the United States and Abroad (*see note below).  After taking four semesters of study, a small number of Antigua veterinary students may transfer into the fourth semester of a US college of veterinary medicine upon satisfactory completion of requirements of the institution.  One example of this is between AUA CVMBS and the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.  Other students will continue pre-clinical study at Antigua for five semesters before transferring into the clinical program of an institution in the US, Australia or Great Britain.  The DVM degree will then be conferred by the institution providing the clinical training.
