The University of Concepción (in Spanish: Universidad de Concepción), also known for its acronym UdeC, is one of the most prestigious universities in Chile. Founded in 1919, it is the third oldest university in the country, and it is part of the Council of Rectors (of Chilean Universities). It was the first University founded in the South of Chile, and the first to become a private-law corporation. Its main campus is located at the City of Concepción, with additional campuses in Chillán and Los Ángeles. Currently, the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences operates on two campuses which are located in Chillán and Concepción.
