''Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis'' is a species of the ''[[Corynebacterium species - Overview|Corynebacterium]]'' genus. It causes [[Caseous Lymphadenitis|caseous lymphadenitis]] and is involved in [[Bacterial skin infections - Pathology#Deep pyoderma|deep pyoderma]].

''C. pseudotuberculosis'' produces small, white colonies, surrounded by a narrow zone of complete haemolysis. The colonies become dry and cream-coloured. Certain strains of ''C. pseudotuberculosis'' reduce nitrates and an enhancement of haemolysis is produced by ''C. pseudotuberculosis'' when inoculated across a streak of ''[[Rhodococcus equi]]''.
