Google launched this Virtual Cows on April Fools Day 2011 on the Google home page. However, it is also an amazing educational resource which is based on the open-3d-viewer which has been to create a virtual human being too. You can rotate the cow and remove different layers to visualise blood supply, internal organs amd musculo skeletal sysytem. This is a must see for any vet student - and everybody else for that matter!

If you liked the virtual cows, then try this 3D model of the horse’s leg which was created as a free online resource by vet student Per Karlsson at the RVC.
