The Online Veterinary Anatomy Museum ([[OVAM]]) went live on the 20th November 2012. Visit this amazing new resource at [http://www.onlineveterinaryanatomy.net/ www.onlineveterinaryanatomy.net]. The museum has a huge collection of anatomy resources on display which are organised into categories according to the species, system and region covered. Original high resolution images of our assets and source files for audio-visual are also available to partner organisations and on request.

We have recently created a promotional flier for WikiVet as we are looking to recruit even more new students this year than ever before. We hope you [http://commons.wikivet.net/images/d/dc/WikiVetflier.pdf will print out the flier] and then be inspired to email it around to new students, distribute it as a handout or even stick it on a noticeboard.<br />

 

 

For the first time ever a Spanish language equivalent (VetDoc) of the well know VetEd Symposium was held over the weekend in Lugo, Galicia. It was a great success with more than 60 attendees and a member of the WikiVet team went along as well. Numerous interesting posters were presented with some great ideas and fantastic resources which are now being used in the veterinary syllabus in Spain. If you are interested in learning more about what went on and having a look at some of the innovative work more information can be found on the [http://www.usc.es/es/congresos/vetdoc14/ VetDoc site].

 

 

We have teamed up with the [http://www.ivis.org/ International Veterinary Information Service] (IVIS) to provide links to over 50 sets of international Conference Proceeding from our [[IVIS_Conference_Proceedings|Proceedings page]]. You will need to register with the IVIS site first but then access to this vast collection is totally free.''4th September 2014''

A new feature on WikiVet is a series of veterinary podcasts which you can access from the link on the left border. These include over 20 clinical topics recorded by Shailen Jasani through interviews with '''[http://www.rvc.ac.uk/small-animal-referrals/ RVC Queen Mother Hospital for Animals]''' clinicians on topics such as '''[http://www.rvc.ac.uk/small-animal-referrals/news-events/clinical-podcasts/20-transfusion-medicine Transfusion Medicine]'''. There are also 50 research podcasts on a wide range of topics such as '''[http://www.rvc.ac.uk/Review/Podcasts/RVC_Podcast_47.m4a Hot topics in animal locomotion research]''' also recorded at the RVC. Finally there are some great '''[[Vet_Practice_Podcasts|podcasts from practice]] developed by [http://petethevet.com/wp/ Peter Wedderburn]''' who is a veterinary practitioner in Ireland.
