- Synonyms: congenital adenomatoid malformation, adenomatoid hamartoma
- Grossly:
- Some lung lobes are replaced by spongy or cystic tissue
- Histologically:
- Hypoplastic bronchi, no cartilage and no smooth muscle in their walls
- May contain normal alveoli
- May cause congenital lobar emphysema (below)
