Academic Departments include Anatomy, Physiology & Cell Biology, Medicine & Epidemiology, Molecular Biosciences, Pathology Microbiology & Immunology, Population Health & Reproduction, and Surgical & Radiological Sciences.
Clinical experience is gained at the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital
Additional aspects of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine include 1) the Veterinary Medicine Teaching and Research Center in Tulare for dairy and herd health medicine, 2) the California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory System for veterinary diagnosis, disease surveillance, and research within the state of California 3) the Veterinary Medicine Extension which provides education and research support to components of animal agriculture within the state of California, 4) the UC Veterinary Medical Center in San Diego which has programs in wildlife, zoological and ecosystem health, and comparative medical research, and 5) the Centers of Excellence, which are research centers for varied subjects.
