RUSVM offers a [http://www.rossu.edu/veterinary-school/academics/index.cfm academic program] which combines the innovative use of technologies and simulations to provide the best possible opportunity for tomorrow’s veterinarians to pursue the many and varied careers available to them.  Students receive seven semesters of integrated [http://www.rossu.edu/veterinary-school/academics/curriculumdescriptions.cfm preclinical and clinical studies] at the St Kitts campus, and one year of clinical training at the School’s affiliate veterinary hospitals in the United States.  RUSVM is currently exploring additional training opportunities for sites in Canada and Europe. RUSVM is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Council on Education and the St. Christopher & Nevis Accreditation Board. Graduates are eligible to practice veterinary medicine in all United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico and as graduates of an AVMA accredited foreign school are not required to take foreign licensure examinations.

The degree Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) is awarded upon the successful completion of the Pre-Clinical Curriculum and the Clinical Training Curriculum.
