The roots of the schools establishment goes back to Lvov 1881, where the school was located until the second World War. It was the third Veterinary school to be opened in Poland after Vilnus and Warsaw. The surviving members of the academic community in Lviv moved and settled in Wroclaw, formerly a German city carrying the name Breslau. The schools official establishment in Wroclaw is November 1. 1945.
