The stylopharyngeous muscle is innervated by the accessory nerve ([[Cranial Nerves - Anatomy & Physiology|CN XI]]). The glossopharyngeal nerve ([[Cranial Nerves - Anatomy & Physiology|CN IX]]) supplies taste to the pharynx.
