==Metabolic Disease==
* Forebrain function may be altered by a variety of metabolic disturbances, including:

** Renal disease
** [[Pancreas - Anatomy & Physiology|Pancreatic]] disease
** Hypo/hyper-glycaemia
** Electrolyte abnormalities
** Acid-base abnormalities.
* Generally, the nervous system signs of these diseases are diffuse and often symmetrical in the rostrotentorial area.
* Strucural disease of the brain may result
** This may cause focal neurological deficits.
