Thomas Brenten

Professional Biography

Thomas Brenten graduated in 1997 from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, Germany. He received his doctorate medicinae veterinariae very recently from the Freie Universtät Berlin in 2016. He joined Mars Petcare Europe in 1998 where he worked in various roles primarily within Research & Development. Currently he holds the position of Global Scientific Affairs Manager for Royal Canin. He has a special research interest in pet nutrition and is a member of the European Society of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ESVCN). Since 2006 Thomas is actively engaged in trade association work. He chairs the FEDIAF Nutrition and Analytical Science Group and is Co-Chair of the GAPFA Nutrition Workstream. Outside work, together with his wife Anja, he is a passionate pet lover, breeding and showing dogs.
