- Cerebellar hypoplasia occurs in all domestic species and is one of most common congenital CNS defects.
Aetiology
- Cerebellar hypoplasia may be:
- Inherited
- This aetiology is suspected in:
- Arab foals
- Jersey cattle
- Chows
- Corriedale sheep.

- Teratogens selectively attack mitotic germinal cells of the cerebellum.
