- Lupus erythematosus
- Dermatomyositis
- Pemphigus erythematosus
- Vasculitis in extremities, especially white-haired horses
- Grossly:
- Erythematous, well circumscribed crusted lesions or hyperkeratotic plaques
- Microscopically:
- Vasculitis of superficial dermal vessels
- Thrombi may be seen
